Hello,

Using Windows 10 and 6.8.0301 (64 Bit).

  • If I try to save a SQL file using CTRL-S or the save icon,
  • then provide a name
  • and then click on the Save button in the windows explorer window.  The Save button in windows explorer does not work.

Pressing enter saves the file with the provided name.  Pressing cancel does cancel the save.

Thanks,

Mike Webster

Howdy,

All of our SQL Server installations are to support 3rd party (purchased) software.  Every vendor has their own implementation, so when I need to copy logins from one server to another (e.g. Prod to Test, or vice versa), it's a pain.  If the vendor doesn't use/support Domain logins, I may or may not have access to the login's password.

I've been using a script similar to the one described at http://www.sqlservercentral.com/blogs/sqlstudies/2013/03/25/how-do-i-move-a-sql-login-from-one-server-to-another-without-the-password/

It would be nice if Toad could have an option to generate the hash on a login, specifically for copying to another server.

Thanks!
Rich

Hi,

In 6.8.0.636, I'm exporting a grid to Excel.  The grid contains various data types including datetime.  When I open the resulting workbook in Excel 2010, the datetime columns are formatted as floats.

They are formatted correctly in 6.7.0.176.

Thanks!

When I try to use the import wizard (Toad Beta 6.8.0.57 64 bit) to import an Excel file to a new table I get a "Please enter password" dialog. I can open the file with Excel no problems as it is not password protected or even open on my PC.

I click OK without entering a password (because the file is not password protected) and I get this:

So I tried importing the same Excel file with Toad 6.7.0.176 and I get this screen without the "Please enter password" dialog box:

So I had to save as the Excel file to CSV and it then imported just fine.

Hi,

After restoring a database from file, the database list in the Object Explorer view is not refreshed. We have to force the refresh (F5) to see the new database. This is happening with build 6.8.0.24.

This happens when executing the restore statement via an editor window. It does not happen when using the restore wizard.
