Last Toad for SQL Server Beta 188.8.131.52 (64 bit).
I conncet to a DB and select - TOOLS - ADMINISTER - LOG Reader.
At this point I obtain a GPF. See screenshot in attach for detail :
I stay tune for your consideration.
Can you post an x64 version of the beta ?
I need it to export 1,4 million rows to an XLSX document but it crash due to an out of memory exception.
On the previous beta build (.451) there was an x64 version that allowed me that export.
in the latest beta, the view to show all results is still not as useful as SSMS. The all results stacks the results on top of each other and there is no independent scroll bar for each result like in SSMS. The current implementation is not useful at all and the functionality of SSMS is superior in this respect. For the use case of doing multiple queries simultaneously, one doesn't want the results to be shown in different tabs. Often one needs to look at the results all at the same time since the information is spread accross different queries. Please make it like SSMS for the independent scrolling windows embedded within the result set for each query result. This is the only thing that I don't like about TOAD for SQL Server.

I recently downloaded the latest Beta for TOAD for SQL Server and when I went to Help --> Release Notes, the page took me to the Release Notes for version 6.7. Is there a way to get the cumulative Release notes for version 6.8?
In 220.127.116.116, I'm exporting a grid to Excel. The grid contains various data types including datetime. When I open the resulting workbook in Excel 2010, the datetime columns are formatted as floats.
They are formatted correctly in 18.104.22.168.
When I add a code snippet containing variables to the SQL Editor, my cursor defaults as it always did to the first variable field, however on keying the variable and pressing the TAB key, instead of it moving on to the next variable all input fields immediately disappear, and none of the other instances of the same variable are updated.
Here's how the snippet appears in 6.7:
Here's how that same snippet appears in 6.8 Beta:
Notice that the input fields are no longer highlighted. If I type over the first variable nothing happens, it doesn't update.
If you want to try it with my actual snippet, create one with this definition:
--Region CREATE $TableName$IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES WHERE Table_Name = '$TableName$')CREATE TABLE [$TableName$] ( --Region Column Definitions $TableName$ID int identity CONSTRAINT PK_$TableName$ PRIMARY KEY , $FirstColumnName$ nvarchar(30) NOT NULL , CreatedDate datetime NOT NULL CONSTRAINT DF_$TableName$_CreatedDate DEFAULT(GetDate()) , CreatedBy nvarchar(50) NULL , LastUpdatedTimestamp rowversion --End Region ) --Region $TableName$ Descriptions: --Describe the Table: --EXEC sys.sp_addextendedproperty @value=N'Custom Table', @level1name=N'$TableName$', @name=N'MS_Description', @level0type=N'SCHEMA',@level0name=N'dbo', @level1type=N'TABLE' --Describe Column(s): --EXEC sys.sp_addextendedproperty @value=N'Custom Field', @level1name=N'$TableName$', @level2name=N'$FirstColumnName$', @name=N'MS_Description', @level0type=N'SCHEMA',@level0name=N'dbo', @level1type=N'TABLE', @level2type=N'COLUMN' --End Region--End Region
All of our SQL Server installations are to support 3rd party (purchased) software. Every vendor has their own implementation, so when I need to copy logins from one server to another (e.g. Prod to Test, or vice versa), it's a pain. If the vendor doesn't use/support Domain logins, I may or may not have access to the login's password.
I've been using a script similar to the one described at http://www.sqlservercentral.com/blogs/sqlstudies/2013/03/25/how-do-i-move-a-sql-login-from-one-server-to-another-without-the-password/
It would be nice if Toad could have an option to generate the hash on a login, specifically for copying to another server.
p.s. Original message got cut off by the web...hmmm....
When trying to do a schema compare on a server using SQL Server 2016 it crashes. Something to do with permissions. Here is the stack trace:

Toad (22.214.171.1241) considers the recently added "create of alter" syntax to be an error.
CREATE OR ALTER PROCEDURE dbo.storeProc (...)
is highlighted as being incorrect, however is compiles fine.
Request for Enhancements.
Built Version ToadForSqlServer_Beta_126.96.36.1991_exe
I find that you have enhancement requests for Group Tabs Per Connection in Data Point.
Can you please add this feature to Toad for SQL Server.
Beta 188.8.131.521 has expired.
Could you please post a new build ?
When Session Browser is invoked from the Toolbar, It opens up and the data is refreshed, but
when I try to refresh, it is not refreshing, sometime it takes long time to refresh or do not refresh.
Is there a shortcut key for closing the results set? When I am working on mycode, I want the most real estate that I can get. I can click on the X on thetop right of the results window to close it until I run the code again but ashort cut key would be real handy.Matt

When do you plan to release a new beta version of TOAD for SQL Server ?
If I have the following code:
select id from table1
select id from table2
Code complete will not work for table1. Adding ", " after "select id" in the first line brings up the list of tables. It should show a list of columns in tabe 1. This does work for table2.
