Every time when I try to start MySQL, I'm getting an error message : Table has crashed and the last repair failed
Any Idea , Suggestions would be appreciated,Thanks,I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
I don't really need the full version of Toad for SQL Server, but the current Freeware is only on 6.6 and is terribly buggy. When are you going to update the Freeware to 6.8?
BTW, I'd pay for a "lite" version of SQL Server if it had everything the Freeware had the "Edit: snippets, predictive typing, syntax highlighting" of the full version. I just don't need everything the pro version has and can't justify $700 for that. But $150 or so for a lite version I could justify.
I've switched from Toad for SQL Server 6.6 to 6.8 64bit freeware version, but now menu option Tools/Import/Import wizard is disabled. Any idea what can be the problem and how to solve it?
Dear Toad and co,
First of all: great and advanced features for Data Compare and Automation. They prove to be a big lifesaver in the current project I'm working on. However, I'm running into some issues I would like to share with you.
I have made a simple automation procedure that performs a Data Comparison and exports the results to PDF (summary) and Excel (detailed results). The automation script runs fine, but I encounter some issues with the performance when the Excel file is being generated. When I do this manually (Data Compare, save grid to Excel) it takes about 10 seconds. The automation script takes about 8 minutes. This is a real problem for me, since the current comparison is peanuts compared to the heavy ones I need to run in the near future. How can I speed this up?
Verbose logfile of automation execution:

I usually come here to report bugs or look for resolutions on issues I have.
For once, I used the Data Compare for the first time, I like it very much and I thought of sharing it. It is a nice, good and useful dialog.
Hi Can you please help me as I am new to Toad.
Trying to connect to my SQL Server I put the correct servername username and password but still have this error
"The network path was not found"
Thanks in advance
a token has been defined and tested in the (Test Tab), it is working. It is automatically replace.
When in the editor, the text just get overwritten.
I have a sql file that I am working on, it has about 250 lines, and some of the lines are wide (the longest line has 280 chars, it contains a big string).
The sql editor slowed so much down that it almost became unusable. Actually I gave up and I switched back to Toad 6.7. The editor is slow in 6.7 as well...
The file contains exec statements of stored procedures.
*** Big Sigh ***
I started to look for a Toad replacement. I am sorry. I might continue paying for maintenance, but I will use another tool for editing sql and running queries.
I don't understand what's going on with this product. I am a software developer myself and I don't get it.
I have a problem with two tables which I need to compare dates for the same reference. The problem is that a) the dates are different formats and b) superfluous data is also contained within both date cells.
1 1992-08-25 00:00:00.000
2 2015-05-19 00:00:00.000
3 2000-01-12 00:00:00.000
1 25.08.1992 00:00:00.000000000 GMT
1 28.08.1992 00:00:00.000000000 GMT
2 19.05.2015 00:00:00.000000000 GMT
3 12.01.2000 00:00:00.000000000 GMT
3 17.01.2000 00:00:00.000000000 GMT
Note that the date formats between the two tables differ and contain lots of time and zero data that is not needed. So ideally I would like to see the format as DD-MM-YYYY.
I would like to return only the Global and Local entries where the Local date differs from Global date. So from the data above, I would want to see:
No. Date No. Date
1 25-08-1992 1 28-08-1992
3 12-01-2000 3 17-01-2000
I would put my attempts so far, but to be honest I have no idea on how to tackle the partial cell matching and re-formatting.
Yesterday I right clicked on the Connection Manager window that was located on the left hand side of my screen and selected 'dock as tabbed document'. The Connection Manager window then changed to a tab rather than a window on the left side. I liked it better as a window on the left side of the screen and would like to change it back to that configuration. However, nothing happens when the Connection Manager tab is right clicked. I was expecting it to give options to change the arrangement but it does not. I looked through Tools > Options and did not find anything that could change it back to the way it was before this change. The version is Toad 220.127.116.11.
Toad Sql Server Trial Edition Instaler is asking me a "Licence Key". But I never received a mail with Licence key (I already checked spam folder and nothing)
I there anyway to send againg the key, please?
I want to export the results of a query to an Excel file. In 6.6, this was an option in the Export Wizard. However, in 6.8, this is no longer an option:
Is this intentional? Or am I doing something wrong? I am still able to do a quick export to Excel, but that is much less convenient, and I would really appreciate being able to use the export wizard to create Excel files.
Thanks for your help!
I started to use 6.8 and something is off when it comes to running multiple sql statements separated with go.
I have this script that alters some tables, creates tables (5), inserts some data (about 15 rows), creates foreign key constraints (about 7), nothing major.
In 6.8, I open the script in an editor, I press F5, then the UI freezes for quite a bit of time and it takes a while until this is done ~ 20s. I basically have to do something else. When I execute the same script using the automation manager, it takes just a few seconds, as expected.
Also, I noticed today that when I run one statement (update or select), it takes a good couple of seconds until the result comes back even though the query took let's say 75ms. I just repeated this with a select statement.
In 6.7 the results come back immediately.
Do others experience this?
I run Toad 6.8 64 bit on windows 2008 r2.
Toad for SQL Server 6.8 freeware still can't format SQL, although from download page it showed can.
Keyboard = Management Studio.

- Paste in SQL
select code, to comment
Press Ctrl + K + Ctrl +C (Not working)
Put Cursor on the Line to Comment
- Connect to SQL
Delete all the pasted text and type in
from sysobject so
and so.name like 'sys%'
Ctrl + K + Ctrl + C (Not Working)
Start a fresh query,
Ctrl + K + Ctrl + C (Working)
Key board short cut for View Object At Cursor command does not work.
After creating login i am unable to connect to database using server authentication.
I need steps to create login for server authentication in toad for sql server.
Can somebody tell me how to convert OST file to PST, useraccount is no longer in Exchange but exist in AD.
Unfortunately I Restored Defaults in the options dialog (following this thread) and that discarded a vast part of my queries in SQL Recall. The default number is 100 queries, which IMO is very low. I like to keep track of all of them from the beginning of time.
Fortunately I haven't uninstalled Toad 6.7 and I have the history there. Is there a way to transfer this history to Toad 6.8?
