please give me answer ASAP.
thank in advance.
Hi.. I don't know if the Release notes method of presenting them is too complicated in how it's currently done, but I can pretty much see that at every release, the release notes are not related to the actual release. When you view them now you get a web page that shows 7.2 stuff though the link called from ver 7.3.
Do you have release notes per each beta release? So that way people can zero in on finding fixed or introduced bugs?
And it could just be a text file that comes with it which gets displayed when using Help->release notes.
When creating a connection in Conn Manager, if you use SSH in drop down, the Schema compare system can't handle that. It should just use all the information in the Conn Manager.. and the connection is already established.
This has never worked to my knowledge.
I was horribly disappointed when the new beta opened up looking like the sin of ugliness Windows 8 designed only for very blocky tablet users with really fat fingers or really small screens.
But thankfully there is a skin option that removes the nasty Windows 8-like borders of mega proportions and tab sizes big enough to each require a monitor on their own.
Just wanted to point this out for other users who might feel they are forced into this awful epidemic of one interface for all devices.
A new beta for Toad for MySQL has been posted. and is now available for immediate download. Just head over to the download section and get it right now!
I have experienced this a couple of times - my network was briefly disconnected and after reconnecting when I tried to run a query the "Active queries are already running on this connection" dialog popped up and it will not close so I'm going to have to kill the Toad process to get it to close. I can click OK, Close, or the window X and nothing happens (also makes no difference which radio button I select).
I noticed something in ver 7.2 and just verified in 7.3.
If I would connect to a database, then click on the "Explore database objects" button, it would come up fine.
But if I click on another database connection and connect, and do the same thing, it actually is showing me the info for the 1st connection! Though the window tells me it's looking at the 2nd conn.
I know for a fact because they have different tables. Hitting F5 in the window has no impact.
However, when I hit Shift+F5, THEN the one reporting the 2nd connection shows me the correct information! BUT GUESS WHAT!!?? Then the one that was for the 1st connection starts showing me the info for the 2nd connection! Hitting F5 and Shift+F5 does not revert it.. so it's just stuck that way.
Even if I close all the Database explorer windows, and then double-click to make conn 1 active, opening up the explorer window gives me the info for conn 2.
I even DISCONNECTED conn2, and re-opened the window for conn1, and still showing me conn2 stuff. This time when I hit F5 it did refresh correctly.
There is something being crossed in the code here. :)
In the current beta (18.104.22.16898) and the one before that Intellisense has not worked for me. When I start typing a statement the Intellisense popup flashes up for a moment and then immediately closes. Sorry, but I have no specific repro, I just use Toad and it happens. It's happening while connected to a server running 5.6.13 or 5.6.17 and my computer is running Windows 7 with the .NET 4.5 framework installed.
I don't see any documentation as to WHY someone would want this setting?
Is there a performance difference? Some pros and cons would be good.
Since Mysql 5.6.3 or so, the DATETIME was given the same features of automatic create and update capabilities as TIMESTAMP.
In Toad's table creation/alteration UI, when you choose TIMESTAMP type, it will then give you this option to update on change. But not so for DATETIME.
I downloaded the beta version to see if connections via SSH (to something like AWS) were better supported in the product. I didn't dig around in the details, but could not find that it was. Am I missing something?
In Toad 6.0.x if you positioned the cursor at the end of a statement immediately following the semi-colon and then selected the "Execute Current Statement" or pressed the F9 key, Toad, as expected, would execute that statement and only that statement.
In the most recent download of Toad Beta (22.214.171.1240) if I position the cursor after the final semicolon, and then select "Execute Current Statement" (or F9) , Toad 7 quite unexpectedly executes the NEXT STATEMENT instead of the current statement, even though that statement may be on another line or separated by several blank lines.
"Execute Current Statement" now only works if the cursor is positioned BEFORE the semicolon in a statement.
This is a really sneaky useability change because I was used to typing a statement including a semicolon then finishing off with the F9 key. NOT GOOD! I totally destroyed a database a couple of nights ago when Toad executed the statement following the one I was working on. PLEASE FIX!
In the following statements try positioning the cursor before and after the final semi colons and see what happens:
show variables like 'log%';select now();show variables like '%memory%';select hour(now());

I have installed Toad For MYSQL 188.8.131.524 I was hoping that the datetime to milliseconds would be available, please advise
I am able to create a table with scripts using datetime(6). I can see the datetime with milliseconds in the Data import wizard in the defined columns window prior to updating the table, I do not receive any errors in the Import/Export report but once in the table the milliseconds are no longer displayed in my Timestamp column only yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss AM. Then when exporting in the using the Data export Wizard in the Select columns window the datatype shows datetime(6) but in the exported excel file, the milliseconds are gone and can't be seen with even after setting the excel custom format to display milliseconds.
I have installed Toad For MYSQL 184.108.40.2064 and I am experiencing a problem with SQL formatting
Toad puts all my SQL into one line.
When I open a VIEW and go to the Script tab my SQL appears as in the sample below.
CREATE VIEW `database`.`table_v` AS select `field`.`id` AS `id`,`field`.`user_id` AS `user_id`,`ua`.`display_name` AS `display_name`,`field`.`user_type_id` AS `user_type_id`,`uta`.`name` AS `user_type`,`field`.`source_id` AS `source_id`,`tst`.`name` AS `source`,`field`.`author_id` AS `author_id`,(case when (`field`.`user_type_id` = 1) then `ua`.`display_name` when (`field`.`user_type_id` = 2) then `taa`.`name` else `ua`.`display_name` end) AS 'author'
When I use Notepad or NaviCat my SQL appears as
CREATE VIEW table_v AS
field.id,field.user_id,ua.display_name,field.user_type_id,uta.name AS user_type,field.source_id,tst.name AS source,field.author_id,CASE WHEN field.user_type_id = 1 THEN ua.display_name WHEN field.user_type_id = 2 THEN taa.name ELSE ua.display_nameEND AS author,
Toad has managed to convert SELECT, CASE, WHEN, THEN, ELSE and END to lower case. It has also added '' around object names and added AS
I would like Toad to display the SQL as it appears in Navicat and notepad.
I have altered Editor settings to no avail.
Can anybody shed any light on How to do this?
A new beta for Toad for MySQL has been posted. V220.127.116.1104 is now available for immediate download.
This will be the last beta before the 7.2 release.
Just head over to the download section and get it right now!
I just installed 18.104.22.16899 and the code completion threw an error I have never seen in Toad for MySQL before.
I was typing a CALL statement and there is an unterminated SELECT on the previous line, so the complete code that is in the editor is
select * from admin.tblOwners
After typing the "G" the code completion dialog popped up as normal, but it has red lines crossing it out and the error message dialog popped up (I have a screenshot if that's helpful). Here is the error message:
System.ArgumentOutOfRangeExceptionIndex and length must refer to a location within the string.Parameter name: lengthStack Trace: at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy) at System.String.Substring(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length) at Quest.Toad.Editor.CodeCompletionControl.treeList_CustomDrawNodeCell(Object sender, CustomDrawNodeCellEventArgs e) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.TreeList.RaiseCustomDrawNodeCell(CustomDrawNodeCellEventArgs e) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.Painter.TreeListPainter.DrawCell(CellInfo cell) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.Painter.TreeListPainter.DrawCells(RowInfo ri) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.Painter.TreeListPainter.DrawRow(TreeListDrawInfo e, RowInfo ri) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.Painter.TreeListPainter.DrawRows() at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.Painter.TreeListPainter.DoDraw(TreeListViewInfo viewInfo, DXPaintEventArgs e) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.TreeList.OnPaint(PaintEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.PaintWithErrorHandling(PaintEventArgs e, Int16 layer) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmPaint(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at DevExpress.XtraEditors.Container.EditorContainer.WndProc(Message& m) at DevExpress.XtraTreeList.TreeList.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
