If I hava a Column called "database" and want to change it or otherway around I want to change it in "database", it throws an error cause it doesnt escape the column.
Xzen,How are you altering the column name? Are you writing DDL directly in an editor, or are you using the Alter Table wizard?
Xzen,Okay, I see what's happening. We don't put ticks around reserved words like `database`. I'm going to have a chat with someone who would know about this.Until then, there is a simple work-around. After you have made all the changes that you want, open the change script in an editor. There is a button at the top of the Right-Hand-Side pane of the SQL Script (I believe it is the 3rd one) page.Click it, and manually add the tick-marks (`) around databaseIHTH,
The Bug also appears on deleting columns.you could just escape every column name with ` it works fine in my applications.Xzen
Xzen,I've created CR 70,809 to track this issue. We're very close to our release, so only major, OMG errors are being addressed right now. This will be worked into our next release cycle.
