I have recently discovererd toad and I am very impressed so far.I have however one problem: Toad hangs if I open a SQL file while I have an active connection. If I open the SQL file before i open the connection to the database server, it works OK.I spent some time googling about this problem, but have'nt found anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?I am using Toad 220.127.116.112 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Same issue for me when connected to localhostthe problem does not exist, when the chosen connection is to a remote server I am using Toad 18.104.22.1682 on Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. MySQL 5.5 64bitVersion 22.214.171.1245 works fine in the same environment

I'd met same problem.
I think it is serious bug..
Changing a option may help you.
Uncheck 'Editor - General - Use individual connection for each open editor'
I totally agree that this is a very serious bug. I can't for the life of me reproduce it here though. Any extra information you guys might have to help me track this down would be great.
Same problem here, even with remote or local conections,
Change the Editor - General uncheked help it.
Windows 7 64 bits, Mysql 5.6.13
I am a long time user, but this bug is really driving me crazy. This is more a message for the developers than anything else. This is a very very very serious bug and a very annoying one. I've upgraded to the latest version 6.7 and the issue is still there. Any sql file I open hangs Toad. I always connecto to localhost so I always get the error. Please, give it the priority it requires. If I save a SQL scripts, I cannot open it directly, i need to open the script with another editor, copy its contents and overwrite the file when in need to save it again. I'm really starting to use more and more SQL Workbench and other tools because of this issue but TOAD would ten times better than any other editor is this ugly issue is fixed!
Should you need any info that might help you reproduce it, please, let me know.
