Hi there ,
I'm using Toad for MySQL product for the past the few months. Its fine when working with queries.
But, whenever i want to insert data of 2k or more records, I'm going for Import Wizard. I tried to import from both .XLS and .CSV files. But Import doesn't processed. Showing "Object Reference Error".
Please help ASAP.
I'm using TOAD for MySQL v6.7 and I wondered why Import Multiple files is not possible? The Button "Open Folder" is greyed out! Is that a bug or something?
Many thanks for your time
In the Data Import wizard I can select a range in a xlsx format excel file but when I highlight and accept the input range, I get, "error reading from data file, check the file format and file encoding" "Unable to Loadfile".Grateful if someone would help me on working through this.I am a total newbie and have so far just created a new database with the above as first step undertaken.
When trying to change "Database Timeouts" in Toad options window getting:
"object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Using Toad for MySQL 18.104.22.1687
toad for mysql is the best tool of mysql managent,
but unfortunately, it does not have event management module.
so is there any plan to add event management feature??
really need this!!!
When trying to export table rows using Export Wizard (SQL Script) getting this error at the end of the wizard:
"object reference not set to an instance of an object. Export is cancelled."
I noticed that there i no option for importing template for labels in meny Reports -Data reports - Label Report. Man can making and saving template for label but when need import label template there is no option for importing. I use Toad for mysql v 22.214.171.1247
I visited the downloads page but I didn't see an option for (mysql mac) I tried the mysql and downloaded but could not execute because it is for windows.

There seems to be a bug in the schema comparison between servers.
On one server I have a Default value of '' on a couple of columns, however comparing the the tables on different servers does NOT reveal the Toad 126.96.36.1997
It looks like the default '' that results in an empty string is completely omitted.
Running the create statement on MySQL Workbench results in the following SQL statement - which has the DEFAULT '' as expected.
CREATE TABLE `part` ( `partid` int(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `specifier` varchar(45) NOT NULL, `serial` varchar(45) NOT NULL, `nonceid` int(11) NOT NULL DEFAULT '-1', `uuid` varchar(45) NOT NULL DEFAULT 'x', `guitype` varchar(45) NOT NULL DEFAULT '', `description` varchar(300) DEFAULT '', `jsonconfig` varchar(10000) DEFAULT NULL, `dynpartref` varchar(45) DEFAULT NULL, `TZ` varchar(100) DEFAULT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`partid`)) ENGINE=InnoDB AUTO_INCREMENT=21634 DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8;
Any help to get the schema comparison to include this string default would be great.
When i open MySQL database i recieve the following error message:
Unknown MySQL error
Does anyone have an idea as to what may be causing this?Please suggest me something for mysql fix ?
Hi,I just installed Toad and am excited about using it,
Im using mysql, and just trying it out I created a database, table and some column that I link to my visual studio project. it connects fine to the database.
However, when adding some random data to the columns in Toad I get a warning/error saying I need to have a key column.
Sure, but in Toad under "Alter Table > Columns", I simply dont see where the option of adding a key column is to be found.
The complete error-text is:
"Dynamic SQL generation for the UpdateCommand is not supported against SelectCommand that does not return any key column information."
Installed new Toad for MySQL 7.7. Imported connections from Toad 7.0.
I am unable to connect to any of my pre-defined connections which still work in Toad 7.0.
Newly created connections do not work either. I have 105 MySQL servers on linux which i administrate
and so far Toad 7.7 has gone backwards and is useless to me.
87 MySQL servers are MySQL Enterprise 5.7 and the remaining units are Enterprise 5.6
I'm trying to use the "Schema Comparer" utility on Toad for MySQL 188.8.131.526.
We have several fields (varchar not null) with default '' (empty) but the generated script doesn't contains the "default" part in this fields.
Create table ecleticaloja.teste (id int(11) not null primary key, descricao varchar(100) not null default '');
Script by Toad:
CREATE TABLE `ecleticaloja`.`teste` ( `id` int(11) NOT NULL, `descricao` varchar(100) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY ( `id` ))ENGINE = InnoDBCHARACTER SET = latin1ROW_FORMAT = COMPACT;
How can I fix this?
I had the foreign key constraint concept explained to me today, after that I started rummaging though Toad and found this Constraints tab. I have a few questions.
Does the source columns represent the primary keys and the destination columns the foreign keys or is it the other way around? Or does it work just plain differently?
Second why is there an option to select multiple columns for both source and destination? Isn't a single source and destination column enough to slave one of the tables to the other? Or do those do something else in Toad?
Lets say I have 3 tables people, pictures and stats. And I wanna constrain a column named id from people with columns named people_id in pictures and stats. In this case I should select the table people. create a new constraint for it and mark the source column as id, the destination as table pictures column people_id, than do another separate constrain for the stats table?
Would this act the same way as a foreign key constraint and while I have cascading allowed, allow me to delete a line from table people and automatically deleting lines from pictures and stats as well?
Execute all button is disable in the Toad I installed ? how to enable it ?
I would to know if it is possible to start toad for mysql with a command line for example "toad.exe username/password@dbserver "
thanks in advance
The error mentions a table named 'db" but I don't have a table with that name.
