Hello everyone,

I have some troubles to add a table of content into my report

Somes details:

I have a quiet simply request in mysql with some group in the report

in the band 'Report Band', i added a table of content.

wich should list the value of the label i bookmarked. (I putted a value into the field bookmark in the label tasks)

But it only appears the value of bookmark, not the value of the label.

Could someone explain to me how to create a table of content?

thank you very much (I hope it's clear)

Hello, I have a query that runs fine in an editor. When I paste the code into the "Toad View Editor" and run it via button in upper left corner, it runs fine. However, if I try to access the view using it in a query like select * from {{OrdersWithTotals}} it throws an error. The error I'm getting is: MySQL Database Error: Unknown column 'a42gejnkruhg0lpbdearktph7hfpju.BusDate' in 'on clause'.

Here is the code. I'm kind of new to Toad, so maybe I'm over looking something. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi,

I'm seeing the following:

Standard (non ssl) connection to Mariadb 10.2 works fine (tested on version 10.2.7)

SSL connection to Mariadb 10.1 works fine (tested on version 10.1.18)

SSL connection to Mariadb 10.2 fails with "The handshake failed due to an unexpected packet format." (tested on version 10.2.7)

I have tried this on Toad for mysql versions 7 and 8.

Toad's SQL editor is signaling incorrect syntax near 'resignal' when resignal is used in a stored procedure. Syntax is actually correct and procedure executes successfully and without errors. For example:

declare exit handler for sqlexception
    begin
      rollback;
      call p_log_event();
      commit;
      resignal;
    end;

...

When I have any other error in further code, Messages tab in Results window is always pointing to the line where resignal is called, so i get mislead.

Dear Forum,

I'm testing the great Tool Toad for MySQL (7.9 and 8.0). Most things are working fine but two things doesn't work for me:

1. Umlaut: German umlauts like ä (ae), ö (oe), ü (ue), ß (ss) are displayed fine on some places but not on other places. Here is a screenshot what it looks like: http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=ecf380-1500453725.png
With Toad Edge everything seems to be fine: http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?file=0f6c5b-1500453879.png
Can I do something to get it work on Toad for MySQL too?

2. The CTE ("WITH" statement) from MariaDB 10.2+ is tolerated but not detected correctly on both (Toad for MySQL and Toad Edge). Is it possible to support CTEs? https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/with/

Best Regards,
John

In Toad For MySQL windows version, set "File encoding type" to Unicode(UTF-8) inside Options --> Editor --> General, and open an UTF-8 script file such as test.sql, then modify and save it, the file's encoding type become "UTF-8 BOM" instead of UTF-8, because it adds hex data "EF BB BF" at the beginning of file.

This results in that the UTF-8 BOM script file can not be recognized correctly by Toad Mac Edition and MySQL WorkBench for windows.

BTW, dbForge Studio has the same problem too, it seems that it is an Windows API issue, but MySQL WorkBench and EditPlus 3 and Notpad++ can correctly save file as UTF-8 instead of UTF-8 BOM under Windows.

The Toad For MySQL version number is 7.5.0.966.

Hi,

first of all i want to thanks to Toad team for adding Git support to Version Control Sysytem.

I have a question, does Toad support commands like Push,Pull directly from Version Control system or i still need external tool ?

One time, when i tired several Toad and Git configs i saw this commands in Version Control System menu, but now i cant simulate it again.

Was it some kind of bug or Toad really know that ?

Today a customer had a strange problem with some VirtueMart prices. Since the problem didn't occur on the development server, I compared the two databases using Toad for MySQL 7.9.0.637 (32-bit) and, after switching to the new version, Toad for MySQL 8.0.0.290 (64-bit). In both cases I couldn't find any significant differences that could cause the issue (of course I had already checked the files, too).

I needed quite some time to realize that the affected products had start and end dates set for their prices, probably caused by some weird VirtueMart bug. Their datetime values were all set to '0001-01-01 00:00:00' instead of '0000-00-00 00:00:00', which stands for 'no date set'.

The values were correct in the development site's database, yet Toad showed them as '0001-01-01 00:00:00', too, probably because of some date conversion. So although the fields had different values, they were shown as identical. This is suboptimal, to say the least... It would be great if Toad showed the correct values instead of trying to interpret them in some way.

I have 2 desktop computers. One is over 10 years old, fairly low powered 4gb memory, the second is a new Intel I7 7700K

with 32gb of memory. Both are running the same Toad version.

I have a DB containing about 30 million records.

On the old PC, doing a simple select take 0.23 seconds

The same select on the same DB on the new machine takes over 82 seconds?

Any ideas what might be going on?  I may have made some Toad setting change on the older PC, but

darned if I can think of what it may be.

Any ideas why it is running so slow on this otherwise quite powerful PC?

Thanks.

Is there no way to scope the Schema Compare to look for real differences and not auto increment differences?

Besides the fact that schema compare is hicking up and finding differences when there are none...

What is necessary for me is to find different datatypes, missing columns etc - this is what happens when developers (or customers) go crazy or customer installations need an update after a couple of years.

Basically an "omit: with a list of checkboxes such as ENGINE; AUTO_INCREMENT and so on.

ENGINE = InnoDB

AUTO_INCREMENT = 83038

CHARACTER SET = latin1

ROW_FORMAT = DYNAMIC;

vs

ENGINE = InnoDB

AUTO_INCREMENT = 29412

CHARACTER SET = utf8

ROW_FORMAT = COMPACT;

Good day everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to re-order the output of the script that gets generated when doing a data comparison of two databases... I always find myself having to manually intervene to re-arrange the order in which the query gets executed so it doesn't result in errors.

This is usually due to the foreign key exceptions where a table that relies on data that has not yet been imported (Because it's lower down in the script because of the alphabetical order the tables get arranged in) breaks the smooth execution of the import.

Please let me know if this is possible without dropping and recreating keys.

Regards,
Joseph
