Hi All,

I cannot seem to view or query Cassandra database using 'Toad for Cloud' database.
I've confirmed that the toad has connected and using CQL shell and queried the DB directly with results return however via TFC I’m not sure what else I have missed here to view and query the Cassandra DB using TFC.

I’ve attached the screenshot and assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I'm trying to connect to Cassandra all day but have been unsuccessful on several occasions.

Deployed:
>Cassandra 2.0.5
>Toad for Cloud Database

Went into Embedded Data Hub>Map Data source and enter the required information. The database is running locally on my machine, all service is running and I can query the database using ‘Cassandra CQL Shell’

However in toad with the connection parameter I get the following error: -

Error mapping data source "hellowowrld" for Data Hub "Embedded Data Hub".

Got error 4200 'No more data to read.' from HUB

I know I am using the correct parameter as if I enter the wrong port or host the following error is displayed: -

Error mapping data source "hellowowrld" for Data Hub "Embedded Data Hub".

Got error 4200 'Could not connect client socket.' from HUB

Any thoughts or suggestions here please? I look forward hearing from you techies

Is there a way to write a Salesforce query in TCD that accesses archived records, too? I can do this with SFDC's Workbench (not Developer Console, though). In the SOAP API, it's the difference between "query" and "queryAll". In SOQL, I'd specify "ALL ROWS" and then filter out IsDeleted.

Hi~ I use TCD on HBase and connect through Stargate(REST) to obtain data from HBase.

Currently I'm studying performance issues for my querying of 400K rows data consumes almost 5 minutes

Then I looked into logs of Stargate(REST) server, It shows many scanner operations.

So I am wondering where can I set the batch parameter of these GET .../scanner/...  requests

Or is there a default value

Thanks~

A mapped SFDC object has datetime fields. The mapping dialog has only a date option, so that is used. When using Table Viewer, the datetime with date and time parts is properly dsiplayed. When using SQL Editor, the date part is properly displayed but the time part is always 00:00:00.0.

Is there some way that I can see the same values, with both date and time correctly displayed, in SQL Editor as shown in Table Viewer?

I have installed Toad for Cloud databases for Salesforce. I am able to browse the schema and run standalone queries on the SQL pane but I cannot get the visual query builder running.

By query builder I mean the visual drag and drop and join that I was able to do in previous versions of TOAD. Is this feature not available in this version?

Using SFDC with Data.com. Account, for example, includes DUNS number field. Meta data for all fields of Accounts, including DUNS numbers, is viewable via Partner API queries (using modified version of https://code.google.com/p/plsqlsoap/source/browse/trunk/oracle_sql/OLAP_XMLA_SF_body.sql). But these fields are not available in TCD using Data Hubs->Embedded Data Hub->my_sandbox_data_source->Mappable Objects->Account.

Permissions on the SFDC side appear to be configured correctly. The DUNS number appears on the Account page layout and is viewable by my login. DUNS number is normally read-only, so I made it editable; no change from TCD end. Set it back to read-only.

I would like these fields to be queryable from TCD. Advice?

Thanks.

Tom

Hi,

I'm using toad for cloud, connecting to hive server 1 via ssh.

I have no problem connecting to data,  get to see the tables and fields.

I'm able to run a query and get the results.

but after I run a query (for the first time after I open Toad), the second one (and no matter what is the query, can be the same as the first one or different) , returns me the error :

org.apache.thrift.TApplicationException: Internal error processing execute

after this a restart is required for the thrift.

Same queries are running in Hue or with Tableau without problems.

Did anyone have the same problem?

Kobi

Hi All,

I'm just beginning with Toad for cloud databases(cassandra).
The point is : When I create a table via cassandra ( cqlsh ) I can find all my tables on Toad and I can manipulate them on Toad . On the other hand, when I create my tables via Toad I don't see them displaying on Toad but I can do a  "select" or an "insert into" on these tables.Only tables created via Cassandra are displayed.
I would like to know where are spent the tables which I created on Toad.
I already refresh the data source, reconnect the data hub but nothing...

Thanks a lot.

My computer is on domain A. A remote MS SQL Server platform is on domain B.

Using TCD, can I map this remote SQL Server data source using Windows authentication? I can't see where I can tell the data hub the domain B userid/password to use, and my domain A credentials certainly won't work. I don't see the usual "runas" trick working, as it's the hub that needs to connect, but maybe I"m wrong.

Advice? Thanks.
