I just write a simple query:

SELECT p. FROM per_all_people_f p ORDER BY person_id DESC;

And when I rewrite the dot after "SELECT p" NAV just popups a tiny window with: <p.details> and some other options with <...> but not the table columns.

Ok, then I keep clicking on the <p.details> and nothing happens - the dotted line just gets longer:

The data is copied and pasted into sql nav and executed by the dba team after management approvals This update executed without the where clause which updated all records in the table.

But

The spool reported that only 1 record was updated. Not all records.

Hi,

I am having really bad timing issues in 7.3 that is also prevalent in the 7.4 betas.

Same schema, same database. I open a package from the sql window by typing the package name and press CTRL-Enter

(Using SQLDBMon)

SQL Navigator 6.7 (Old Quest version): Starting timestamp: 10:02:46 --> Last timestamp: 10:02:57 - Total lines 367

SQL Navigator 7.3 (new license): Starting timestamp: 10:02:55  --> Last timestamp: 10:04:44 - Total lines ~700

For me the new version is almost unusable since every now and then some background task will go and query the SYS objects and freeze the editor for a few minutes.

I have tried to enable/disable the option "Use user's dictionary views" but that doesn't fix/change anything.

This also applies to code completion that doesnðt work 80% of the time.

Anything I can do to speed this up? i.e I do not have access to the SYS user..

Thanks.

Oli

Anyone else having problems with Nav dying frequently?  This started awhile back, but it has continued. Seems sort of random as I cannot figure out a pattern. Sometimes it dies while I'm doing something in Nav and sometimes I just come back and it's non-responsive.

Also in Windows 10, I almost always get a second "shadow" window that gets created on the task bar.

I have sent Vincent the sqlnavigator.el file from the incident that occurred yesterday.

If I try to load my old .opt file for formatting, it doesn't load or give me the option to save. Also, I believe that when I install a new version, it doesn't use my old formatting file. Shouldn't this carry over to the new version along with my preferences?

Also, why can't I resize the "Formatter Options" window?

It also appears that the "stacked on more than..." doesn't work

Hi

Thought that I already had opened a thread therefore, but I don't find it anymore !

A copy / paste from 67000 lines of code takes about 5-7 minutes (SQL Nav is not responding), since at least V 7.2

I'm in v 7.3.0.3967, 32bit on Win 7 pro (up to date), I5 M520 CPU 2.4Mhz, 4G ram (2.4 used from 3.2 available), SSD drive

In V6.7 the same copy/paste  takes +/- 3 seconds !

While using SQL Navigator 7.3 and 7.4 beta, when using the Export Data option to send data to Table INSERTs certain fields which contain dates & times (Oracle TIMESTAMP format) are not being formatted correctly within the SQL INSERT statements.  When the SQL INSERT statements that are generated by SQL Navigator are run they receive an error due to incorrect formatting of those TIMESTAMP fields.

This feature worked correctly in SQL Navigator 6.7.

In SQL Navigator 7.3 and 7.4 (using Oracle 12.x), an exported TIMESTAMP field would like this:
4/24/2017 4:00:15.000000 AM

In SQL Navigator 6.7 (using Oracle 12.x), an exported TIMESTAMP field would like this:
