Toad™ Data Modeler helps you create high-quality data models. This data modeling tool enables you to easily deploy accurate changes to data structures across more than 20 different platforms.

This cross-platform database modeling software offers the following functionality:

  • Enables you to build high-quality logical and physical data models
  • Allows you to compare models and then synchronize them
  • Makes generating complex SQL/DDL fast and easy
  • Permits you to create and modify scripts
  • Enables you to reverse and forward engineer both databases and data warehouse systems.

The Freeware edition has certain limitations, and is not intended to be used as a TRIAL for the commercial edition of Toad Data Modeler.

NOTE:  The Toad Data Modeler Freeware version may be used for a maximum of five (5) users within Licensee's organization. For more than five (5) users within an organization, you will need to purchase licenses of Commercial version of Toad Data Modeler. This license does not entitle Licensee to receive hard-copy documentation, technical support, telephone assistance, or enhancements or updates to the Product from Dell Software.

Hi, Mark.  

Our freeware actually does have a shelf-life to help keep users on a more current version.  But it should not be expired immediately upon installation.  Did you already have a previous version installed on your PC?  The current version posted is v5.1.1.

Are there any plans to have a version that runs on a Mac similar to Toad for Mac?  I use the Windows version and would like to be able to flip between the different operating systems
