In Toad you have the ability to format your SQL code before you promote it or check it back into a repository. But for some companies, it would be nice to make sure all team members are formatting their code the same.

 

To change the formatting options, go to the View Menu and click on Formatting Options.
 

Here the options can be changed and saved. On the top of this window it shows you where the options are being saved.  Take that file, “fmtplus.opt”, and send it to the rest of the team.  They should replace their copy of the file with this new one.  Then, when everyone formats their SQL code … it will look identical.
