Imagine a new DB2 developer or DBA joins your company and needs access to a lot of objects. He needs to connect to databases, use some tablespaces and of course work with a lot of tables. Now you have to grant him different privileges on different DB2 objects. It seems you have to do a lot of right clicks on a lot objects.
