You can now download Code Tester 2.0. beta 2 from http://unittest.inside.quest.com/beta.jspa.

DO NOT USE THIS VERSION IN PLACE OF YOUR PRODUCTION INSTALLATION OF CODE TESTER. IT IS NOT YET STABLE ENOUGH.

FOR EXAMPLE: IMPORT/EXPORT IS NOT YET SUPPORTED
!!!

Key New Features:

  • Redesigned main window: the Dashboard is replaced by a new console window that offers much greater usability and functionality.

  • Run Program: a new paradigm for creating tests, the Run Program window offers a powerful interface allowing users to run their program, evaluate the results and then "save as test" if you believe the results are correct.

  • Powerful suite management: you can now define suites within suites and set up test workflow with branching logic.

  • Multiple test definitions per program unit: you can new create more than one test definition for the same program unit. This makes it easier for multiple developers to build and run tests for the same program unit.

We are making this beta available primarily to get your feedback on the overall direction of design and workflow. We look forward to that feedback, which you can post in the Beta discussion forum.

Please be sure to read the release notes, which include a draft of documentation for using the above new features, before you start using Code Tester 2.

Thanks in advance,
Steven Feuerstein
